Uninterrupted, Part 6
My daughter suggested that since I didn’t work today and her classes were over that we go to see Snow White and the Huntsman. Since it was all movies are $5 on Tuesdays, I agreed. I had a 20 so I sent her to the concession stand with the leftover $10, which turned out to be a mistake because the smallest popcorn and soda are $10.75 together. But we didn’t finish the soda and I doubt we’d have eaten more than half the popcorn. It was a fun movie, overacted in all the right ways. And I like the
ambiguous ending. Expect to see Snow White/Huntsman/William threesome or harem fanfics in the near future. In my opinion William would make the better king, while the Huntsman would make the better husband.

Master List
Diemen decided not to stop at the store on the way home from Autumn and Zan’s. Em was asleep and managed to stay asleep through being taken out of the car seat, carried inside, and being bedded down on the couch. The spare room wasn’t childproof enough.
He spent the next hour taking everything except the bed and dresser out of the room, so now he had space for the portable crib Courtney had sent with Em. He put most of the stuff from the closet into the closet in his room. Anything that didn’t fit, he could live without. After that room was cleaned and swept, he tackled the bathroom. Then he sat on the couch and stroked Em’s hair. Ne was such a cute kid. His heart was going to break if Courtney couldn’t come up with some type of time share agreement.
He leaned his head against the back of the couch. People couldn’t share custody of a child, could they? Where was his notebook? If he didn’t add that question to his list, he’d never remember to look it up.
This phone rang. Pavel’s sexy voice came over the line. “I’ve been thinking about you.”
Diemen sank back onto the couch. “Good.”
Pavel laughed. “And what have you been thinking of?”
“You.”
“Good.”
“And Em.”
“That is good too. May our house always be filled with the laughter of children.”
Diemen pressed his lips together to hide his grin. He didn’t want to be too happy over that ‘our’. “So how do you expect to get all these kids?”
Pavel laughed. “I except to marry a man with a few. You seem to be doing pretty well in that department.”
Pavel must be teasing him.
“But Em probably won’t stay. And you haven’t even met Em yet.” There were those pesky pronouns again. He explained Em and his search for pronouns. To Diemen’s surprise, Pavel was cool and encouraging about the whole thing.
“Remember how I said my people saw me as feminine? Part of the reasons is that I wore girl’s clothes for an entire year.”
Diemen tried to imagine a mini Pavel in a dress, but couldn’t. “You must have been adorable.”
“Because I am now?”
But he was way more than adorable. “I can’t reply to that question. I’ve got a sleeping baby on the couch beside me.”
“I can imagine that. I will close my eyes and see you two beside me and I will feel not quite so alone.” Pavel sounded so sad.
“Are you lonely?”
“My sister is still in the hospital, and her husband is with her, so I am alone in a house that isn’t mine. Talk to me and keep me company.”
Diemen wanted to ask Pavel to come over. He wanted to feel those warm hands against his skin and the sexy voice in his ear, but he made due with talking to Pavel about their day and going to see Autumn and finding out Diego had a baby. Pavel was all kinds of sympathy without any jealousy. He was a wonderful guy. Diemen told him so.
“That’s because, my darling Diemen, I know who will be in your bed come Friday night.”
Diemen shifted in his seat. He shouldn’t be thinking about such things with a child present. “Tell me about your family. If I’m going to meet them Sunday, I should be prepared.”
Pavel laughed and let him change the subject. They talked until Em woke up and needed to be taken potty and then to bed. But Pavel’s wonderful goodnight kept Diemen warm until he fell asleep.
