Writing

Why when I have so little time to do anything (Prom and Mother's Day are both this weekend) and when I do have time, I don't have the energy, did I discover not one but three blogs on writing. One is mostly reference for showing not telling. Is a character exhausted? Have him yawn or be forgetful or have is eyes close when he wants them open.  There's more in a book I'm considering buying. I got the free add-on which is why Emil rubbed his neck when Kurt asked if he was going to meet his grandmother.

The second one is writers on writing. Everything from grammer to plot to publishing a book. Oodles of interesting stuff.

But the one I've spent the most time on recently (a few minutes here and there) is one writer talking about many parts of writing like being your own plot doctor. I wasn't even down the first page when I got addicted to her critiques of opening scenes. People send then to her and she says how to tighten them up or that they are telling not showing or their are head hopping or the characters aren't in the moment and she provides links to a more in depth writing on the topic. I've learned quite a bit.

I also have a book from the library about writing that I want to share, but I have to run for the bus.
