Trying to keep my eyes open...

I am so exhausted today that I can barely sit up, let alone think. I worked 10½ hours on Sunday (including my first solo inventory—Yikes!), 9 hours Monday when I moved the department to get ready for the store renovation (we aren't getting anything new, but the area in front of our department is where the product will go while the aisles in the rest of the store are being moved around) and tried to find the several thousand dollars worth of stuff I missed on the inventory. Yesterday was only a little over eight hours, but it was getting the department into shape (almost all the arrangements and many of the plants died due to no one being in the department for several days last week), emptying the boxes in the back room (we received our Halloween stuff while the department was empty and I had to do inventory while lots of stuff was still in boxes, which had to be moved around several times so I could see behind them) and I never did get to finding more of the missing things.
I do not understand why some people want to work four ten hour days. Maybe their jobs aren't as physically and mentally demanding as mine. (plus the need to smile and be friendly and helpful 100% of the time)
This is my only day off this week (Saturday's when I see my sister and give my niece her birthday present that still isn't finished), so I've got to pull myself together and write at least one chapter of Harmonies because I posted the last I had already. My only consolation is that the guys will be at least this exhausted after their all day party. Maybe I'll write them better like this.
But first I better get dressed. Otherwise I'll be tempted to slip back into bed and sleep all day.
